Rebecca Smeyne has been creating memorable depictions of cultural scenes and parties in New York since 2007.  She has covered hundreds of events for the New York Times Style section, where she has been a frequent contributor since 2013. Prior to that she was on the masthead at Spin and Paper Magazines. Her first job was shooting a music photoblog for the Village Voice’s Sound of the City column, which she did at an obsessive pace for four years.

Recognition/Awards:  Inclusion in eight editions of the American Photography Annual, the PDN Annual, the New York Times Year in Photos, The Cut’s Photos of the Year, and a Society of Publication Designers Medal.
